Sequential Diagnostic Monitoring Plus (SDM+) is a combination of traditional sequential diagnostic monitoring efforts combined with historical reviews of past (legacy) land use activities, interviews with long standing landowners, and the use of the economic principal known as the Pareto Principle. This highly effective method of using actual data to focus on a small number of activities and/or projects that possess the greatest loads can reduce both the cost and time needed to achieve water quality goals.
