Project Description & Outcomes
This project involved restoration of two wetlands along the tributary that was identified as the single highest source of phosphorus loading to Bone Lake. These wetland restorations reduced phosphorus loading to Bone Lake by 35 pounds per year. Additionally, the restored wetlands provide suitable habitat for a diverse assemblage of wetland plants and animals.
The CLFLWD received a $88,000 Clean Water Fund (CWF) grant from the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) for this project.
